Retailers are increasingly using in-store video screen advertising to try to bring relevant offers and promotions to the attention of busy shoppers as they shop. Unfortunately many shoppers are just too busy to stop and pay attention to the video screens.
 
Shoppers Carry their own Little Screens

 
With Intrasonics in-store solutions, retailers can reach shoppers in a more personal way and deliver promotional or advertising content to the little screens carried in the pockets of their customers.
 
This can be done either by delivering electronic discount vouchers direct to their mobiles or by rolling out special offers or additional loyalty card rewards during the day. Retailers can also work with the brands to engage with customers and build loyalty.
 
 
Direct In-Store Promotions

 
Consider a supermarket group that has invested in and launched a smartphone app to help its customers track their loyalty card points. Customers entering the supermarket's stores can easily be encouraged to run the app while they shop with the promise of receiving special discounts and extra loyalty points on selected goods.
 
By integrating Intrasonics audio code technology into the same app, the supermarket can use its existing PA speaker systems to transmit triggering codes to all shoppers running the app at any given time. This can be store-wide or confined to selected zones within the store.
 
For example, a customer in the wine section could be reminded about current discount offers on wine and wine-related products simply by triggering their phone to display some cached graphical content. This approach is less intrusive than mounting video screens around the shelves because customers make their own choice whether to carry and run the store's app.
